A peat-based tablet or disc that has been compressed and will swell within ten minutes by adding water into a handy nursery pot that can be used for sowing and transplanting.
The seedlings or cuttings will root through these pots and can then be planted directly into the garden soil. The peat pots are of course biodegradable and digest in the soil. The plants do not suffer root damage and therefore no growth inhibitions when planting out.
The peat tablets are only 0.8 cm thick, but after adding 100 ml of water, they swell in 10 minutes into a real pot of about 4 cm high in which you can directly sow and take cuttings.
